Purpose
As part of the City of Cape Coral’s Five-Year Roadway Improvement Program, Jacaranda Parkway was realigned between Andalusia Boulevard and Averill Boulevard. In addition Averill Boulevard was realigned to connect to Del Prado Boulevard through a City owned parcel. This project has provided greater access to the Gator Circle Community as well as improve the safety and traffic flow to motorists by extending Averill Boulevard to Del Prado Boulevard.
Scope of Work
The alignment of Jacaranda Parkway was redirected onto NE 33rd Street located east of NE15th Avenue to accommodate the new roadway configuration. Jacaranda Parkway improvements included widening of the travel lanes and resurfacing the roadway from Andalusia Boulevard to Averill Boulevard and NE 33rd Street. Averill Boulevard was realigned at NE 33rd Terrace and turns southeast to connect to North Del Prado Boulevard.
Construction Schedule
Work began Summer of 2007 and was completed on December 13, 2007.
